Biggest accomplishment. Why?
There are a few accoomplishments that i am most proud of:

To watch my students grow and become a world champion or become the best that they can be but most importantly to witness each and every student that comes through my door and have a positive impact in their lives forever.

Becoming a husband knowing i will be able to share, grow, love and laugh together each and every day.

The day i became a father knowing that from December 13, 1993 until the day my life is no longer present on this earth i have the responsibitly to guide, protect and love them unconditionally.
What do you love about competition?
The excitement, the opportunities to test your skills not only physically but mentally. Through competition win or lose being blessed to meet wonderful and amazing individuals. Travel to places that you would never have gone to and to experience and learn the array of various cultures and ethnic back grounds. But most importantly to be part of a sport that i love......
Favorite way to relax?
People who knows me would say coach John does know how to relax........
Advice for the youth athletes in karate?
Enjoy and love what you do. Learn from each and every tournament win or lose. Be accountable in anything to do in karate and in life and make no excuses. Success starts with having the heart to fail but learning to rise from it, being able to achieve greatness but remain humble, to have detemination and perseverance but have the character and integrity that one can be proud of.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
My students would say I lead by example. "Very Simple"
