ECHO ENTERTAINMENT TO BROADCAST USA KARATE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, FEBRUARY 17, 2010: USA Karate is pleased to announce that the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) has selected Echo Entertainment to broadcast the 2010 USA Open Karate Championships to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 3rd-4th. The USA Open expects to have Karate teams from over 40 countries competing for top prizes worth over $14,000. Many current and former world champions will be among the competitors creating some very exciting matches.
The live video stream will be broadcast on the worldwide web during the finals of the competition on April 4th from 7:00 – 9:00pm. Viewers can log on to www.teamusa.org and click on the Karate page to watch the action as it happens. The finalists will be competing in sparring and forms competition for the money awards.
Echo Entertainment (www.echoent.com) has created thousands of hours of programming for companies like ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, ESPN and A&E. On the sports and recreation side of the spectrum, Echo produces NBC’s World Cup Skiing and Snowboarding events, CBS’s Jeep King of the Mountain series and NBC’s Poker After Dark. Other sports they cover include CSTV’s Collegiate Nationals (a huge, multi-day, multi-venue event), and the FIVB Pro Beach Volleyball tour for broadcast worldwide. It also includes on-air promotions, television spots, original trailers and sales and marketing presentations for entertainment companies like Disney, Universal, MGM, Nintendo, New Line, ABC and Turner.
Tamera Bransford of the United States Olympic Committee works on broadcasting many sports that are members of the USOC. She said that “Echo has an extensive history with Ski/Snowboard events as well as production for the last several Trials for the USOC & NBC. They have also produced some MMA & World Poker Tour events. They are easy to work with & definitely know their stuff.”
