Colorado Springs, CO, OCTOBER 26, 2010: The USA Karate Team arrived in Belgrade Saturday and was welcomed by the US Ambassador to Serbia, Ms. Mary Warlick.  Saturday night, the team was hosted at a reception by US Steel Serbia, and it’s General Director, Mr. Matthew Perkins.  The reception was attended also attended by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports for Serbia, Mr. Dragon Atanasov and other representatives of the Serbian Karate Federation. 

 

Sunday morning, the team completed their first workout and looked great.  Said Head Coach John Limcaco, “It usually takes a few days to work the bugs out, but this team looks great right now!”  The US Team will complete a light afternoon workout to finish the day as they adjust to the time zone change and continue to mentally prepare themselves for the upcoming event.

 

They looked great in their new warm-ups sponsored by Asian World of Martials Arts.  AWMA has been a constant supporter of the US National Team in recent years, and is the primary sponsor of the team.
