The Memorandum of Understanding outlines a collaboration between the Eygpt and USA karate federations. They plan to achieve this by organizing joint training camps for athletes, exchanging referees for national events, and coordinating participation in international competitions.

Two days later, USA-NKF and the Royal Spanish Karate Federation signed a similar MOU between the two federations.  This followed Spain’s win for the World Title in the female team kumite category and the annoucement of Spain hosting the first Senior World Championsips for Teams next year in Pamplona.  Signing the MOU were Spanish Karate President Antonio Moreno Marqueño and USA Karate President Elisa Au.

“We have tremendous respect for the work that the Egyptian Karate Federation and Royal Spanish Karate Federation have done thus far,” says Elisa Au.  “Through these partnerships, we aim to improve the level of karate to greater heights through the exchange of training and ideas, as well as the support of our referees and other technicians across the federations.  USA Karate is proud to have this relationship with the Egyptian Karate Federation and the Royal Spanish Karate Federation.”
