USA Karate Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Saudi Karate Federation at the 27th World Championships

Cairo, Egypt – November 27, 2025 — During the 27th Karate World Championships in Cairo, USA Karate and the Saudi Karate Federation formalized a new partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining future collaboration between the two national governing bodies.
The signing took place in the presence of World Karate Federation (WKF) President Antonio Espinós, WKF General Secretary Toshihisa Nagura, WKF 2nd Vice President General Nasser Alrazooqi, 3rd Vice President Béchir Cherif, and members of the WKF Executive Committee. Representing their respective organizations were Mushrif Ali Alshehri, President of the Saudi Karate Federation, and Elisa Au, President of USA Karate.
The agreement establishes a framework for joint initiatives that support athlete development, coaching education, event participation, and broader exchanges that strengthen the sport in both countries.
“Our countries share a belief in the power of sport to build opportunity and connection,” said USA Karate President Elisa Au. “We look forward to working closely with the Saudi Karate Federation in ways that encourage growth in our athletes, deepen international cooperation, and contribute to the global advancement of karate.”
This collaboration marks a significant step in expanding USA Karate’s international engagement as both federations continue to invest in the long-term development of the sport.
