    Athlete Bio

I started karate when I was 4 years old....This is my second time on the Junior US Team, each time for Kumite....My parents are my heroes, because they work hard and support me in everything I do....When I won bronze at the Junior Pan American Games, as it was my first international tournament and the team won that year....I love the fact that I get to meet people from all over the world. I also love the feeling of release I get while fighting somebody . It is one of the few situations where baggage from outside the ring can disappear. I don't need to care about who my opponent is or where they come from. The tatami is the great equalizer....My parents and my coaches, since they push me to become a better version of myself every day; training harder, studying more intensely, and being a better person...."Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion." - Muhammad Ali
